Northland Director's Letter Year End 2015

For it is God who is at work in you~ Philippians 2:13

Yes, God Is At Work through you Monday through Friday and through you as one of the several hundred active people with CBMC Northland.

As a ministry, without your financial investment in CBMC Northland we wouldn’t exist. For that I am extremely grateful. Lives are being transformed for an eternal ROI and being credited to you (Philippians 4:17)!

Because of your generosity, the stories are endless of countless people who have come to Christ or grown closer to Him in 2015. With that said, our work is not finished yet. As a matter of fact, we are just getting started! More on that in a moment.

CBMC Northland IS a great investment! I would like to invite you to prayerfully consider a generous gift at year end and ongoing support for God’s work through CBMC Northland for 2016.

Life is all about transitions – primarily handoffs from the Lord, one season of life to another. Often where things get lost is in the handoffs.  Without guidance from the Holy Spirit, handoffs don't go well. CBMC Northland is a ministry where God uses Spirit-led people to help each other transition well for His glory from young and emerging people in the marketplace to mid-life marketplace leaders to sage experienced people in their “re-firement” years. How CBMC does this is through workplaces focused on one-to-one discipleship, mentoring, small groups, and special events.

Here are just a few of the highlights demonstrating how God is at work through CBMC Northland in 2015:

  • Growth to over 360 active Business Forums group members discipling, mentoring, and supporting each other
  • Launch of the first CBWC Women’s Forums group
  • Launch of new downtown Connect3 weekly group
  • Six Young Professional gatherings
  • More than fifteen Christ-centered events attended by over 2,500 people, which we played a major role in conducting, including the first ever Lakes Area Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast, Joe Gibbs Game Plan for Life, Leadercast Northland, and St. Cloud area Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast

Whether in business or in ministry, God expects growth (Matthew 25:14-30). For 2016, God is calling CBMC Northland to develop existing ministry focus areas, as well as add some new and exciting ones. Here are a few of those:

  • CBMC YP Acceleration Teams – Curriculum-based monthly small groups developing young professionals into Christ-centered business leaders worth following
  • CBMC@U – Serving future leaders attending college or university
  • CBMC Marketplace Ambassador launches in new communities around the Northland
  • Growth in membership and expansion of CBMC Connect3 groups and Business Forums into three new group formats: Leadership Institute Senior Leadership Roundtables, Trusted Advisors, and Acceleration Teams
  • Numerous gospel focused events such as mayor’s prayer breakfasts and Leadercast Northland

With growth comes additional ministry staffing support and financial needs. Thank you in advance for your generosity!

My prayer is that God will call you to play a more significant role financially than ever before in supporting God at work through CBMC Northland. The eternal lives of countless people in our community are at stake.
