The winter is past; the rains are over and gone.

Flowers appear on the earth;

the season of singing has come.

~ Song of Songs 2:11-12

Have you noticed lately some things that you haven't seen for quite a while? Like people being outdoors again doing yard work, biking, and walking - seems like everyone got a dog over the winter, doesn’t it?

Now that the calendar has turned to spring, we are experiencing warmer air, the sun is shining longer, and flowers are appearing; for many people there is a renewed sense of hope.

For all of us who are in the "spring" season of life there are countless others who are stuck in a cold dark "winter" season with a sense that things will never change or that the only change will be for the worse, colder and darker.

“I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.., a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together” (John 4:35-36).

What hits me in that passage is the encouragement that we need to "open our eyes.”  Many times every week God continues to bring people who "are ripe for harvest" into my life through family, neighbors, and friends. CBMC Northland exists to help you be more effective in recognizing such opportunities, especially in the workplace. We want to help you be God’s hands and feet bringing the people in your life one step closer to Jesus.

I’d like to encourage you to fix your eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2) and focus your prayer life on seeing others – the people God brings into your life – as Jesus sees them.  Ask God to show you how He wants you to serve, and maybe you’ll be able to help someone spring ahead!

For Him,

Consider these opportunities from CBMC Northland that support you in effectively helping people grow closer to Jesus:
