This is what the Lord Almighty says: “My towns will again overflow with prosperity” ~ Zechariah 1:17

PROSPER, v.t. L.prospero, from prosperus, to carry to or toward; to bear. To favor; to render successful. PROS'PER, v.i. To be successful; to succeed. ~Websters Dictionary

If you are like me, this time of year- the Holiday Season of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years- I reflect even more than usual on the blessings God has bestowed in my life. When saying “my life”, I’m not just referring to me personally, but in all aspects of life visible to me

Some of those blessings not only include seeing God’s hand guiding personal growth in my relationship with Jesus but also his loving hand carrying people I know through some of the most challenging times imaginable with health, finances, and relationships.

What I’ve come to realize more now than ever, is that the stronger a person’s relationship with our Father, there tends to be a corresponding greater sense of gratitude, peace, joy, and feeling of prosperity

Please Help Us Keep The Momentum! With the greatly expanded ministry activity we are experiencing, additional financial support is key. Would you please prayerfully consider a special year end gift to CBMC Northland allowing us to go into 2020 stronger financially than ever? Here are the best ways you can help:Give onlinehttps://give.idonate.com/cbmc-inc/northlandSupport for overall Northland budget. It’s really simple,go to the link above and select the Alan Smith optionVision 220 match! The David’s Mighty Men group has generously committed to a $56,000 matching grant for Vision 220 giving between now and year-end. Your gift is matched dollar for dollar. In one form or another, the word prosper is mentioned 87 times in the NIV Bible. As the world typically defines prosperity in financial terms, in the life of a follower of Jesus, or in the case of CBMC Northland, the definition is much broader

WHAT: CBMC- Develops businessmen to be ambassadors for Christ and spiritual reproducers.WHY: The reality is most people that don’t have a personal relationship with Jesus will never set foot in a church- many of those same people do go to work. The workplace/marketplace is where the greatest mission field exists today.HOW: CBMC men in small group and mentoring/discipline relationships encouraging each other to grow closer to Jesus each day through prayer and studying God’s word the Bible.MISSION: To present Jesus as Savior and Lord to business and professional men and to develop business and professional men to carry out the Great Commission. Active CBMC small group members are equipped to recognize Jesus At Work every hour of every day regardless of circumstances.

Looking back on 2019 here are just a few highlights:

  • New CBMC Trusted Advisor Forums launching in every major city in North Dakota led by Don Hoffert.
  • New CBMC Trusted Advisor Forums launching in Mankato, Little Falls, Bemidji, and Thief River Falls Minnesota.
  • New Young Professional Acceleration Teams launching in the Twin Cities area.
  • New full-time staff additions of Seth Neistadt (covering central and northern Minnesota) and John Harrison (focused on growth of Young Professionals).
  • Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast, Business Series Luncheons, Faith and Work Luncheons, and other events with a keynote address presenting a clear gospel message reaching over 2,500 people. Speakers included past North Dakota Governor Ed Schafer, writers and movie producers Lee Strobel and Tim Mahoney.
  • National training sessions led by Northland staff to equip leaders around the USA in facilitating peer advisor groups serving business leaders and young professionals.

All our efforts resulting in rapidly increasing numbers of men and those they influence- spending more time reading the Bible and praying. Stronger marriages, less depression, suicide prevention, a greater sense of joy and peace, more successful businesses, more lifestyle evangelism, and discipleship are just a few of the life-changing benefits that are occurring.

As 2019 comes to a close, we can together know that as Carly Simon put it, “These are the good old days”.  Through His enablement and your sacrificial giving, God has done immeasurably more than anything we could have imagined~ Ephesians 3:20 through CBMC, we are prospering one heart at a time

All that said, I am confident that God is arranging the pieces that are positioning us for continued rapid growth. Vision 220 of reaching every major city in the Northland is coming to fruition before our eyes

Looking ahead toward 2020, CBMC Northland will continue to focus on growth in the core areas of:

  • Trusted Advisor Forums
  • Young Professional Acceleration Teams
  • Connect3 Teams
  • Targeted events that present a gospel message
  • Ever-increasing numbers of members living a life of personal evangelism and one to one discipleship

As you prayerfully consider your year-end financial contributions, I pray that you will give generously to CBMC Northland which will enable us to expand our reach into more cities and lives throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, with a desire to follow the Lord’s call to enlarge our footprint into South Dakota and Iowa as well

On behalf of the CBMC Northland staff of Don Hoffert, Scott Ward, Seth Neistadt, John Harrison, Tom Whitney, and me, and also on behalf of all the men and women CBMC, directly and indirectly, impacts for Jesus, thank you for your steadfast generosityTogether we are being used to make an eternal difference

Wishing you many blessings to you and yours

For Him

“Look at the nations and watch—and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told... For the vision awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it lingers, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.

~ Habakkuk 1:5,2:3
