June 21-23, Belfast Northern Ireland, birthplace of the Titanic, was the host city for the 2018 CBMC World Convention

What a blessing it was for Paul & Carol Johnson, Doug Cozad, myself from the Northland and about 40 others from around the country to represent the United States at this once every 4 years event.

My trip to the birthplace of C.S. Lewisincluded an eye opening layover in London England

London offers much to be amazed by. Founded by the Romans in AD 47, today over 300 languages are spoken in a city region population of 22.7 million people

Probably the most eye opening reality that hit home with me- both in England and Ireland- the strong evidence of Christian influence in Europe is undeniable. A few examples:

  • So many churches (Belfast with a population of 400,00 has over 230 churches)
  • In most museums, much of the artwork has Christian influence
  • City and town names, street names

Simultaneously, the other stark reality that is very concerning as it relates to the USA; according to this Christianity in the UK survey, the ratio of people that attend church in England for example, 95 to 5.

95% unchurched

Most of Europe appears to be a Post Christian culture, and it shows. With the number of young adults leaving the church in the USA, many believe we aren't far behind Europe.

The theme for the CBMC World Convention was Extra-Ordinary Hope.

We were blessed to have world class speakers share with our CBMC delegates from 60 countries that the Extra-Ordinary Hope lies in the hands of YOU and I. The target for all Christians from Jesus perspective is to Love the Lord your God with all your heart and second greatest command to love our neighbors.(Matthew 22:37-39)

The center of the target for CBMC has always been on evangelism and discipleshipreaching the unconvinced and lukewarm.

So, the question I pose to you- what do you believe will prevent the USA from becoming “Post Christian”

Do not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encourage one another~ Hebrews 10:25

Thank YOU for being "Living Proof" for CBMC people in countries around the world. The number of members, small groups, and one to one Operation Timothy relationships we have going on is inspiring to many.

Together, we are providing Extra-Ordinary Hope and a roadmap to eternal life to all those watching.
