Remember the TV show Seinfeld? For 9 years starting in the late 80’s, viewers would get to do life for a half hour with Jerry, George, Elaine and Cosmo Kramer.

One show after another, we would never know what was coming next and I don’t think Jerry, George, Elaine and Cosmo knew either.

It was a satirical yet pretty realistic glimpse of the life that many Americans lead; taking circumstances over hours, days, and weeks and even years as they unfolded- no strategy in life- no stated purpose in life...it’s all just nothing.

Post Christian? Who can stop it?

June 21-23, Belfast Northern Ireland, birthplace of the Titanic, was the host city for the 2018 CBMC World Convention

What a blessing it was for Paul & Carol Johnson, Doug Cozad, myself from the Northland and about 40 others from around the country to represent the United States at this once every 4 years event.

My trip to the birthplace of C.S. Lewisincluded an eye opening layover in London England

Special Report — CBMC Northland Mid-Point, 2016

By Alan Smith Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances.... ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 This passage from 1 Thessalonians is how I’d like to frame up this letter to you, because you – with your generous financial, prayer, and leadership support –are the backbone of God’s work through CBMC Northland. Without you this ministry would not exist. The Summary of this letter is at the beginning. Read through it, be encouraged, and dig into more detail in the three following sections: Young Professionals, Small Groups, and Events.

Northland Director's Letter Year End 2015

For it is God who is at work in you~ Philippians 2:13

Yes, God Is At Work through you Monday through Friday and through you as one of the several hundred active people with CBMC Northland.

As a ministry, without your financial investment in CBMC Northland we wouldn’t exist. For that I am extremely grateful. Lives are being transformed for an eternal ROI and being credited to you (Philippians 4:17)!

Northland Director's Letter December 2012

Of the various characteristics which Isaiah ascribed to Jesus in this well-known Christmas passage, the most meaningful to me on a day-to-day basis is Wonderful Counselor. When Jesus left this earth, he gave us His Holy Spirit so we could know the mind of God; and, He uses His children, speaking into one another’s lives, to provide wise counsel, advice, wisdom, and encouragement. For over 80 years CBMC has provided such counsel in the form of one-on-one and group discipleship. What a blessing to be in the position of both giving and receiving godly counsel.

Northland Director's Letter November 2012

I always find it amazing to hear stories of God's steadfast love during the most painful trials. Hearing of God's miraculous intervention, presence, and salvation in Mark Whitacre's life during our CBMC Northland conference this past month opened the way for attendees to share their personal experiences. A consistent message emerged as I listened to these individual stories: in every situation, these people were supported by others who joyfully partnered with them through prayer, time, and resources.

Northland Director's Letter October 2012

Guys, I just found out minutes ago....... we are in shock......please pray. These are the words one of our fellow CBMC members wrote a few weeks ago at the top of an email in which he outlined the unfolding of a significant, potentially life-changing event. His first instinct was to lean on some of the most important people in his life: his CBMC Team brothers. That team has been together through mountain top and valley experiences for over 6 years.
